A Personalised Approach to Your Health

Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment (PRP)

We offer Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments — a cutting-edge, minimally invasive therapy that uses your body’s own healing capabilities to rejuvenate skin, improve tissue repair, and support overall wellbeing.

PRP harnesses the growth factors and regenerative proteins found in your own blood to stimulate natural healing processes. It’s widely used in cosmetic dermatology and musculoskeletal care to improve skin quality, reduce ageing signs, enhance hair growth, and support recovery from tendon or joint strain.

PRP treatment uses a patient’s own blood to promote the healing of injured tendons, joints, muscles and ligaments.

Clinician-Led PRP Therapy

All PRP treatments at MedPlus Clinic are performed by experienced, UK-registered clinicians following strict clinical protocols.

Natural Regeneration Using Your Own Blood

PRP harnesses your body’s natural growth factors to stimulate tissue repair, collagen production, and cellular renewal.

Versatile Treatment for Skin, Hair & Joints

PRP can be used for skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and to support recovery of joints, tendons, and soft tissues.

Minimally Invasive with Minimal Downtime

PRP is a non-surgical treatment with minimal recovery time, allowing most patients to return to normal activities shortly after treatment.

What Is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)?

PRP is produced by drawing a small amount of your own blood and processing it in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets and growth factors. This concentrated plasma is then re-introduced into the target area to encourage tissue regeneration, collagen production, and improved cellular function.

Because PRP uses your own blood, it is considered a biocompatible and low-risk treatment option when performed by experienced clinicians.

Uses of PRP Treatment

PRP can be tailored to a range of clinical and cosmetic goals, including:

  • Skin rejuvenation — improving texture, tone, and elasticity
  • Hair restoration — stimulating hair follicles to support hair strength and growth
  • Joint and tendon support — aiding natural repair mechanisms in areas of strain or overuse
  • Post-injury recovery — supporting tissue repair in mild to moderate soft tissue injuries
  • Scar improvement — reducing the appearance of acne scars or minor scarring

Each treatment plan is personalised to you, depending on your goals and clinical findings.

  • Your PRP session at MedPlus Clinic typically includes:

    1. Blood Collection — A small amount of blood is taken.

    2. Processing — The blood is centrifuged to concentrate platelets and growth factors.

    3. Application — The PRP is carefully applied or injected into the target area.

    4. Aftercare Advice — You receive tailored guidance to support optimal results.

Treatments usually take 30–60 minutes, depending on the area treated and the specific approach used.

    • Encourages natural tissue regeneration

    • Uses your own biological material — low risk of reaction

      • All procedures follow evidence-based clinical protocols

      • Medical history and suitability are assessed prior to treatment

      • Information and care are managed confidentially in line with UK GDPR

    • PRP treatment fees are clearly explained in advance with no hidden charges.
Appointments are available with flexible scheduling at our North London clinic, serving patients across Edmonton, Enfield, and surrounding areas.

A typical PRP session takes around 30–60 minutes, including blood collection, preparation, and application.

Downtime is usually minimal. Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness may occur but typically settles within a short period.
